Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
ITS Finance & Administration (F&A) provides financial management, human resources support and administrative services to
ITS. The unit handles financial planning and budgeting, human resources, benefits, vendor management, parking, facilities management and facility-related security. |
Position Summary |
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The position provides procurement support for
ITS Operational Units. This position performs functions related to the purchase, receipt, payment of goods and services, and travel reimbursements using the University systems. In addition, the position will serve as backup procurement support for the Communications Technology Warehouse, including obtaining vendor quotes, creating and processing purchase requisitions and orders, as necessary. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience with a higher education (or government agency) procurement system and handling expense reports. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Previous experience with a PeopleSoft procurement system (ConnectCarolina). |
