What You'll Do: Champion Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Perform duties safely, responsibly, and proficiently. Assume responsible for the safety of all personnel and activities in the plant area. Enforce all company and regulatory policies, rules and regulations. Coordinate Schedules. Coordinate schedules and manpower of fabrication, erection, electrical, and water system on capital projects. Communicate schedules with appropriate stakeholders. Conduct Training. Conduct and/or verify that all necessary training has been conducted.
Build Relationships. Create a strong working relationship with suppliers and vendors. Provide an example of good leadership. Keep open and effective lines of communication with division staff and operation level personnel. Additional Responsibilities. Manage small crew (Vulcan and/or Contractors) to accomplish required task as it relates to the installation or repair of Plant equipment. Will assist in the management of larger crews during capital projects as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Skills You'll Need: Education. High school diploma or GED is required Experience. Five years of field experience with trade skills, welding, and equipment operation is preferred. Functional Knowledge. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must have knowledge of welding, erection, fabrication, electrical, concrete. Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises. Extended overnight travel is required. What You'll Like About Us: Great Company Culture.
