Position Summary
The College Assistance Migrant Program and High School Equivalency Program housed within El Centro de la Raza are two separate, Office of Migrant Education, federally funded program. We are [LR1] seeking a highly motivated Program Coordinator to join our team to increase capacity and provide accessible opportunities to migrant/ seasonal farm working background students/ participants with comprehensive services to successfully complete program requirements. The Program Coordinator is an important position with a broad spectrum of responsibilities within the organization. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. All applicants should be adaptable and foster a curiosity to learn new processes, research services benefiting the targeted population, and communicate effectively,[LR2] both written and verbal. The candidate should be culturally competent and able to work across diverse communities [LR3] establishing and maintaining positive community relationships. The desired candidate exhibits organization, flexibility, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and perform well with minimal supervision.
The Program Coordinator plans and coordinates fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of the grant funded program/project with the Program Director. The qualified candidate should have knowledge of university policies and purchasing procedures. Duties typically include assisting with grant planning and administration, fiscal, budgetary, and/or other associated transactions, program implementation and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, program marketing, and reporting. Conditions of Employment
- If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
- All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

- Ability to successfully perform in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrate strong, organizational, creative and conceptual thinking/ problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Basic computer applications and Windows suite applications
- Proficiency in MS office, MS Excel, Adobe Professional, Google applications
- Quick to adapt to new technologies
- Experience in completing HR related tasks
- Manage complex scheduling
- Develop data collection tools, policies and procedures, as needed
- Provide daily support to staff and partners; build positive relationships with related resource programs and community members.
- Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Organizing reports, data and resources[RC1]
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
