Job Description

Angel City Brewery in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a Part-Time Cellar Person to add to their team!

The Cellar person will assist the team (through independently scheduled and operations requested tasks) with back of house operations in lab/quality management, brewing, cellaring and packaging. Must be available to work any shift, some weekends, early mornings, late nights, and will operate and monitor production/utility equipment as assigned.

What You'll Brew:



  • Assist Management to oversee operation of quality and brewery operations to ensure uninterrupted supply to brewery needs, supplies and ordering of consumable items, ensuring adequate operations of all lab/quality support systems
  • Perform daily duties and reporting responsibilities in supporting operations for brewing department.
  • Must be able to work in and promote a team oriented and "Safety First" environment
  • Safely, efficiently and effectively work to attain department goals and objectives
  • Responsible for consistent, accurate and timely, monitoring, troubleshooting, repair/response, maintenance of lab/production control systems in accordance with established standards and specifications
  • Assists in daily communications and shift meetings as needed to provide the necessary information for production staff to do their jobs consistently
  • Participate/lead in process improvements initiatives
  • Executes production-related processes according to recipe formulation & process standards for all products to ensure adherence to specification
  • Work to ensure all lab/quality projects are to scope and safety guidelines are met as necessary
  • Conducts quality checks, process audits, and monitors production reports to ensure adherence to quality standards and performance
  • Relay information regarding quality issues of processes, ingredients, and brewing materials to management


What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • 1 year of experience in a lab/quality environment, brewing, cellaring, packaging and/or home brewing.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to analyze information to make process improvements
  • Good math, verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability, both electrical and mechanical
  • Experience with participative leadership and time management
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills
  • Proven analytical, planning, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Proficient with computer including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel
  • Working in a sometimes fast paced brewery environment.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, lift 55 lbs at a time and maneuver up to 170 lbs kegs.


Level: 10

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $17.30 - $31.73 per hour. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for tips received during the worked shift.
