In this exciting and rewarding position, you will provide exceptional nursing care for our patients. You will offer guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks.You will also assess patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinical education and promote effective working relationships.This involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions.

The Unit Director is also responsible for the fiscal, human resources, clinical, materials management, and communication operations of the Hematology/Oncology unit.

UCLA Health salary range for this title code is $157,400- $380,600/annually. Please note that the department's target pay range is $157,400 - $261,000/annually.

Qualifications

We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:

  • Current California RN licenserequired
  • MSN or BSN with a Master's degree in a related fieldrequired
  • 5 years of acute care experience as an RN, required
  • Previous Hematology/Oncology experience, required
  • 3 years of leadership or management experiencerequired
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American HeartAssociation-required
  • Nursing Professional Leadership certification (i.e. ANCC or AONE) preferred
  • Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
  • Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient-assessments
  • Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
