We are hiring a 2nd shift Distribution Supervisor. The DC Supervisor under the guidance of the Distribution Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day distribution center activities, adjusting schedules as necessary in shipping. Responsible for distribution center accuracy, productivity levels and facility order. Train associates to ensure well-coordinated picking, and shipping. Ability, willingness, and demonstrate the ability to train, teach, coach, and motivate team members in a changing high-growth environment.
Essential Responsibilities: * Manage all aspects of the distribution center, including leading the team, inventory control, and safety responsibilities. * Oversee day-to-day operations of shipping including labor scheduling, supervision and the proper utilization of space, equipment and associates. * Responsible for supervision and training of DC staff and leads. * Coach and develop leaders in a leadership capacity. Mentor frontline leaders in leadership behaviors, accountability, and people management best practices * Responsible for interviewing, hiring, leading, and managing DC Associates. * Addresses Associate Relations issues of DC staff in conjunction with Distribution management and HR. * Assure that customer orders are picked and shipped in a timely manner so that we make our service commitments. * Drive team engagement and productivity by effectively leveraging individual strengths, setting clear expectations, and maintaining a high-performance culture. * Responsible for establishing and continuously improving operational procedures. * Applying your knowledge of warehousing and distribution to enhance existing organizational strengths. * Compile daily measurements (orders received, returns processed, etc.) to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives. * Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of reports, DC metrics, and operational dashboards. * Conduct quarterly SAM discussions with each direct report. * Provide daily safety engagement with team to inform of safety reported incidents, relay information about areas of concern, review team safety goals and conduct daily stretches. * Perform weekly forklift inspection audits * Provide forklift training for new hires and retrain current associates as needed * Primary contact for any quality issues. * Keep time entries up to date for accurate payroll processing * All other duties as assigned by your immediate manager to meet company objectives. * Demonstrate and actively support TIDI Products True North, Mission, Core Values and Guiding Principles. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. * Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions, in mathematical or diagram forms and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. * Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of Computer software programs for inventory management, spreadsheets, presentation, such as but not limited to Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; and Microsoft PowerPoint. * Able to become forklift certified About TIDI Products... Estimated starting annual base salary pay ranges is $70,000 - $85,000, less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances.
